5 Tips on Putting all together after the big convention #asw10
This a tactic i used last time at affiliate summit and I hope this is helpful to anyone that has come back from any kind of conversion. But after Affiliate Summit and the all the fun, networking, poker and great parties (we were in Vegas) its time to go back to work.
So what do you do when you got a giant pile of business cards who you don’t know who they are or you met a bunch of people who you don’t remember who they were and are really having a hard time matching names with faces. Well this is how I handle it. First and this is not part of the five, but you should have objectives when you go to these things and when you meet some one that can help you meet your objectives or has a service that meets your needs, I always write some kind of keyword or note on there card for later. Cause when you get back to your room you have all this stuff you just throw it all in your briefcase or bag and worry about it later cause you always have to be somewhere. So let get to the part were after you get home, to your house. You can do this at the hotel but i never have time. The possess I use has five categories that I use to start sorting the cards and literature so I can figure this stuff out and they are: 1. People that can help me with my objectives that have need or a service I need or will buy from me, this works on both sides by the way. I mark those follow up. These are the people we need to talk to to get stuff going now. 2. People I met that are rememberable or people I hung out with and need to keep in touch with or put in my circle, just want to drop them a note to refresh there memory of who i was and just to say Hi nice to meet ya. 3. I have no idea who you are but we did meet, you don’t belong in number one or two or 5, more on five later So i need to set you aside and later I will look you up and some research and to see if there is a fit. Now once i go through you go to 1,2,4,5. Think algorithm on this one 4. Things or Services I may need later but are not a fit right now. These just in up in a folder in the file cabinet and we will review at a later date 5. Have no idea what you do nor do I know who you are or you were a known idiot or jerk or full of it or i know exactly who you are, you my friend all get put in a file #13, sorry dude you didn’t cut it at all. So thats it i hope this was helpful it is for me. Oh just remember you may be number 5 yourself so if you follow up and get no response you need to think about it.
